[Text Settings]>[Save all characters as text]
When the [Create Document Compatible with DocuWorks 6.x or Earlier (Ver. 4 Document)] check box on the [Detailed Settings] tab is selected, characters of a DocuWorks document created from an application are saved in the multi-byte code. The created DocuWorks document is Ver.4 document. Characters unique to Unicode are saved as graphical data.
Note
The multi-byte code is a character code of each language such as Shift-JIS in Japanese and GB2312 in Simplified Chinese.
When the [Create Document Compatible with DocuWorks 6.x or Earlier (Ver. 4 Document)] check box on the [Detailed Settings] tab is cleared, characters of a DocuWorks document created from an application are saved in Unicode. The created DocuWorks document is Ver.7 document. When the application outputs the texts to DocuWorks Printer with the form of glyph index (value to refer to the character style), the characters not assigned in Unicode are saved as the graphical data. The fonts that are not permitted to be embedded are not saved as graphical data but wiped out.
Note
When no text is output, the document is created as Ver.4 document.

[Convert all the characters into the graphics data]
Convert all characters as graphical data. However, only the fonts that are allowed to be embedded are effective. Resolution of the graphical data is the one specified in the [Resolution]. Moreover, you cannot convert only a particular font into the graphical data.
Note
When the [Create Document Compatible with DocuWorks 6.x or Earlier (Ver. 4 Document)] check box on the [Detailed Settings] tab is cleared, this option embeds text behind graphics data that was created from the source character string during conversion. The embedded text can be searched for, selected, and copied.
Text information for the user-defined characters are also saved. Therefore, when using the same user-defined characters as those in the environment where the document was created, user-defined characters can also be searched for and copied.
