[Paper/Output] tab [DocuWorks Printer Properties] dialog box

Use this tab to specify items related to paper and output of the DocuWorks printer.

[Document size]

Select the document size specified in the original application from the list. Or select [Custom] to specify the width and length of the document.
Note
  • If the specified size of height or width is more than 2,400 mm, it will change to 2,400 mm and if it is less than 30 mm, it will change to 30 mm.
  • Depending on the application, the [Document size] settings will be ineffective.

When [Custom] is selected

The [Custom] dialog box appears when you select the [Custom]. You can specify the [Width] and [Length] ranging from 30 mm to 2,400 mm in steps of 1 mm.
If [Width] is longer than [Length] after clicking [OK] in the [Custom] dialog box, a message appears and the value of the [Width] and [Length] are switched.

[Output paper size]

Specify the page size of documents.
Note
  • If [Output paper size] is specified as [Same as the document size], the paper size of the document will be the size of the document. A Ver.7 document is generated if the document is either of the following sizes and the [If the document size exceeds A3, reduce it to A3.] check box is cleared.
  • Standard B3 to 2B0 paper size is selected.
  • Value specified in [Length] in the [Custom] dialog box exceeds 500 mm.
  • When [Output paper size] is set to [Same as the document size] and the [Create Document Compatible with DocuWorks 6.x or Earlier (Ver. 4 Document)] check box on the [Detailed Settings] tab is selected, if the document size is either of the following sizes, the page size of the DocuWorks document will be A3, the document content will be reduced to A3, and Ver.4 document is generated.
  • Standard B3 to 2B0 paper size is selected.
  • Value specified in [Length] in the [Custom] dialog box exceeds 500 mm.
The table below results for a non-standard paper size that is not in the list.

[Orientation]

Specify the orientation of a document.

[Creation method]

Specify how to create documents.

[Create in DocuWorks Desk]

DocuWorks documents are stored in the Desk folder. If Desk is already running, documents are stored in the currently open folder. If not, documents are stored in the folder that opens when Desk starts.
Selecting [Create in DocuWorks Desk] and clicking [Details] displays the [Detailed Settings] dialog box, where you can set the following items:
  • [Start DocuWorks Desk if it has not been started at creation]
    If you have not started Desk, Desk automatically starts when a DocuWorks document is created.
    By default, this box is selected.
  • [Display DocuWorks Desk in the front if it has been started at creation]
    Select this check box to display the Desk window in the front if Desk has been started when a DocuWorks document was created. By default, this box is selected.

[Create in the specified folder]

Creates a DocuWorks document in a specified Windows folder.
Click [Browse] to display the [Browse For Folder] dialog box.

[Specify the name of the document and the folder at creation]

The [Save As] dialog box appears when creating a DocuWorks document.

[Margins]

The [Margins] dialog box appears, where you can specify the margins of top, bottom, left, and right in 0.1 mm unit. You can type values from 0 to 40 mm.
The default setting is 4.6 mm in all margins.
Click [Default] to set all margins to the default value.

[About]

The version information of DocuWorks Printer appears.
