[DocuWorks Desk Options] - [General] [Preferences] dialog box

Use this tab to specify the properties of the workspace and folder areas.
 

[Design]

[Resize to equal-spaced alignment]

Set a paper size to serve as a reference when arranging documents in the workspace in thumbnail view.
When you select [Arrange] from the [View] menu in thumbnail view, the thumbnail documents will be arranged so that the top of each document is aligned with the grid lines.
When you select [Line Up] from the [View] menu, the thumbnail documents will be arranged so that the upper left corner of each document is lined up with the grid lines.
The default is [A4].

[User-defined size]

If you selected [User Option] in [Resize to equal-spaced alignment], enter the sizes of the height and the width.
  • [Width]
    Specify the width. You can type value from 30 to 2,400 mm.
  • [Height]
    Specify the height. You can type value from 30 to 2,400 mm.
Note
The documents are overlapped if lining up when there is a document that is larger than the size selected in [Resize to equal-spaced alignment].

[Color setting]

[Background]

Set the background color for the workspace in thumbnail view or grid view.
The default is [Default].

[Selection]

Set the color of the frame displayed when you select a document in thumbnail view or grid view.
The default is [Default].
Note
For the workspace color, you can also specify a different color in each folder in the [Folder Property] dialog box.

[Display style]

  • [DocuWorks standard]
    Displays the menu bar, toolbar, and status bar in the DocuWorks original image without relying on the screen settings of OS.
  • [Follow Windows]
    Displays the menu bar, toolbar, and status bar according to the screen settings of OS.
    Select [Follow Windows] when using high contrast on Windows.
Note
When using high contrast, you can switch the drawing method of the document display view of Viewer with the <F7> key.
There are three drawing methods. They switch every time pressing the <F7> key.

[Zoom ratio of thumbnails]

Set the default zoom ratio of thumbnails in thumbnail view within the range of 10 to 34%.

[Others]

[Use Recycle Bin]

Uses the recycle bin in the folder area. The recycle bin stores deleted folders and documents in Desk. The recycle bin is located at the bottom of the folder area.
By default, this box is selected.

[Print in Background]

When you select DocuWorks files shown in the workspace and print them, you can operate Desk even during printing.
By default, this box is selected.

[Folder to open during startup]

Specify a folder to be opened when you start up DocuWorks.
The default is [User Folder].
Note
When you select [Opened folder when exit], the next time you start Desk, the window will open with the workspace and folder areas split as they were when you exited Desk.
  • [User Folder]
    The user folder will open.
  • [Opened folder when exit]
    The folder that was opened when the last time you exited Desk will open.
    The window will open with the workspace and folder areas split as they were when you exited Desk.
  • [Task Space]
    Task Space will be displayed.
  • [Specified Folder]
    When you select [Specify Currently Open Tab], the folder currently open in Desk will be entered in the [Specified Tab:] field. The next time you start Desk, the folder entered in the [Specified Tab:] field will open.
    The folder can be set with the workspace areas split.
    You can specify a folder located under Task Space, User Folder, or Link Folder.

[Specify the Task Toolbar Tab to open at startup]

Specify a tab on the task toolbar to be opened when you start Desk.
When you select [Specify Currently Open Tab], the folder currently open in Desk will be entered in the [Specified Tab:] field. The next time you start Desk, the folder entered in the [Specified Tab:] field will open.
